I have always drawn much inspiration from The Botanic Gardens, which is very close by and is very close to my heart. These water colour & ink drawings are inspired by my sketches, photos and regular visits to the Gardens. They would make fabulous house warming gifts, birthday presents, nursery wall hangings or perhaps you'd simply like to treat yourself. Each piece is unique, there is just one of each design as they are all created by hand. There is more of this original but very affordable collection to come, so watch this space! The butterfly ink drawings proved to be very popular and a new series of these will be revealed in the the next few days...
I have been busy putting some art & craft ideas together to keep little ones busy and some are on Instagram (saved to highlights) & Facebook. Very soon, I should have all of the activities uploaded onto a blog post here.

About Gillian Monaghan Designs
Gillian studied fashion design in the Grafton Academy and this is where her love for fashion drawing began. Having had success in various fashion design competitions, the part she enjoyed most was planning mood boards and sketching out ideas for her designs. She has also completed many art courses in the Hugh Lane Gallery, including life drawing and painting. Art history is her passion and she studied a course in Renaissance Painting and Sculpture in Trinity College, Dublin. All of this education and experience feeds into her unique fashion drawings and illustrations. She is influenced by Edgar Degas and Christian Dior and inspired by classic style icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Onassis. All of her work is completed by hand, using a variety of inks, watercolours and pens. Gillian's fashion art has a vintage quality, which is elegant and timeless.
